| I have been an HISD employee since 1985. I started working in the Hereford High School office as the District Attendance Clerk, but when Student PEIMS was created several years later I became the district's first PEIMS Coordinator. Over the years, by trial and error, I basically invented the PEIMS position and procedures, since no one had done it before me. Until 2000 I did all of the district's student data entry. With the purchase of the Pentamation software each program, department and campus was able to assume the maintenance of their own data, so my job became more oversight and report writing than anything else. I am sometimes called the PEIMS Queen.....but I'm certain there are other names for me around the district! :-) |

Texas....but I got here as quickly as I could." In 1974 my husband, Terry, and I moved our three small children to Hereford, Texas, from Hartford City Indiana. We had visited my mother here the year before and I fell in love with the Texas Panhandle, so when we were looking to relocate, this was our logical choice. My children attended Hereford schools without interruption and all three graduated from HHS. I have three beautiful granddaughters....Hannah, born in 1997, Cecilia, born in 2001, and Logan Claire, born in 2006. |
