Troubleshooting Computer and Software Problems

    Novell Issues

1.       If you are not able to log in to Novell check the following:

a.       Use your username and password.  Make sure that they are not misspelled.

b.       Make sure the patch cord is connected to the back of the computer.  There are two light where the patch cord is connected, one will stay on and the other will be blinking on/off.

c.        If you have an error message when trying to log in, make sure you write down the message and tell the Technology Facilitator at your campus.

          E-mail

          1.       If you are not able to log in to your E-mail check the following:

a.       Use your username and password.  Make sure that they are not misspelled.

b.       If you have an error message when trying to log in, make sure you write down the message and tell the Technology Facilitator at your campus.

          Software

          1.       If you are having problems accessing software on the computer, check the following:

a.       Make sure your username and password are correct.  (if requested)

b.       If you have an error message write down the following information

            a.    Name the Program you are trying to work in.

            b.    Error message received when accessing or working in the program.

            c.    Do you receive the same message when accessing or working in other programs on the computer.

 

 IF ALL ELSE FAILS, RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.

After following these steps and the computer still doesn't work contact your Technology Facilitator at your campus.
