Troubleshooting Network Printer Problems

    Network Printer Problems:

1.       If you are not able to print to a network printer check the following:

a.       Make sure you have logged into Novell using your username and password.  IF YOU USE LOG IN AS WORKSTATION ONLY, YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE RIGHTS TO PRINT TO A NETWORK PRINTER.

b.       Make sure the Printer is turned on.  NETWORK PRINTERS SHOULD NEVER BE TURNED OFF.

c.       Make sure the patch cord is connected to the back of the printer and to the wall. 

d.       If you have an error message when trying to print, make sure you write down the message and tell the Technology Facilitator at your campus.

         

 IF ALL ELSE FAILS, RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.

After following these steps and the computer still doesn't work contact your Technology Facilitator at your campus.
