Juniors
We begin our journey towards perfection in writing college-level compositions this year. In preparing for the AP Language and Composition test, the ACT test, the SAT test, and of course the TAKS test, each student must learn to write as many as 5 different types of compositions.
Reading this year will be largely non-fiction, because that is what the Language test requires. However, we will read from many different texts. Probable selections are: Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl Death of a Salesman Oedipus Rex Importance of Being Earnest The Crucible The Chosen Many short stories from the AP text book Many speeches, editorials, and other types of short articles
