About Dana Friel

Hi my name is Dana Friel!  This is my second year at Hereford High School and I'm ready for a new year!  So here's a little bit about me!

First of all I grew up in Childress, Texas and graduated from Childress High school in 1999.  I then went to Texas Tech University where I earned my BBA in marketing in May of 2002.  I started at West Texas A&M University that summer to begin on my teacher certification.  I finished my certification in May of 2004.

I began teaching at Littlefield High School in 2003 and was there for 2 years.  I taught Cisco Networking, Programming, and Desktop Publishing.  I met my future husband so  I left Littlefield and moved to Amarillo to be with my love, Kris.  I began working at Dumas High School in 2005 teaching Geometry and Algebra 1.  I was married to Kris on March 4, 2006.  We bought a house in Canyon and I wanted to get back to teaching technology and Hereford gave me the opportunity so I took it.

I'm currently working towards my Masters degree in education administration at West Texas A&M University.

Kris and I have no children but we do have one wonderful dog that is half Dachshund half Shih Tzu and his name is Claude.

I hope this gives you a good brief overview of me and who I am and I hope you enjoy my class this year!
