Course description:  The objective of this course is to prepare students for college by writing essays, reading British and some American literature, doing research, and working on correct grammar.  Students will be challenged to use critical thinking skills in their assignments.

We will read: excerpts from Beowulf and The Canterbury Tales, the play, MacBeth, the novel, The Chosen, and various poems and short stories. We will also watch the musical Fiddler on the Roof.           Late work will not be accepted.
