| I am a lifetime resident of Hereford and a
1966 graduate of Hereford High School. I attended West Texas State
University (now West Texas A&M University). My technology career
began in 1974 as a programmer for a large area agricultural corporation.
After 4 years of programming, I served as the Technology Director for the
same company for 22 years.
I began my work with the HISD Technology Department in 2002. Although the responsibilities of all of us in the technology department are widespread, my primary emphasis has been with the Novell network, Linux servers, website design and maintenance, e-mail systems, the internet filtering system, photography of HISD events and various aspects of multi-media software. My recent work has been with the new and exciting technology of podcasting. Each year I teach Microsoft Frontpage classes to HISD staff members. My wonderful wife, Rhonda, is a teacher at Bluebonnet Intermediate School. We have a great daughter, Leslie, and a really cool grandson named Tyler in Amarillo and a son, Josh, who is an Education student at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Enid, OK. We also had the pleasure of 16 years with another son, Jacob. We now have two foster daughters, Brittany - age 7 and Lacey - age 9. They keep us very busy and have brought much joy to our lives.
My hobby is the collection of worldwide mineral specimens. I have an extensive collection and some of my prize specimens (as well as other mineral photos) can be seen HERE.
