If  you haven't guessed, some of my favorite things are chocolate, strawberries, and coconut. I think if I could ever get a strawberry dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with coconut I would probably never survive the encounter.

The most important thing in my life is my family. I'm married to a wonderful man, Sam who also works at HISD as a technology guru. We have one terrific son, Josh who is a mass communications major at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  We have one fabulous daughter, Leslie, her husband, Chris, an exceptionally smart and cute grandson, Tyler, and an adorable granddaughter, Brenna who live in Amarillo.  We were also very blessed to have a wonderful son, Jake for 16 years.

I was born in the heart of the Ozarks -- Springdale, Arkansas. I graduated from Springdale High School and a couple years later moved to Oklahoma. I still love to return to Northwest Arkansas to visit my family, whom I miss very much!    Click here to see my Northwest Arkansas photo page.

I graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education.  I majored in Reading Diagnostics and minored in Special Education.  Before teaching at Bluebonnet, I worked at the Museum of the Cherokee Strip located in Enid, Oklahoma.  There I was a living history re-enactor where I taught 4th graders from across the state (of Oklahoma) in a one room schoolhouse.  Students would take a field trip to the village located on the museum grounds and I taught them as school was taught in the year 1910. We used slates, quill pens, McGuffey Readers, and students (as well as I) dressed in period clothing.

Besides spending time with my family, in my spare time I enjoy...

I collect Precious Moments figurines.  The one pictured above was a gift from my sweet husband.  It is titled, "You Are the Queen of My Heart".

I inherited my mother's Precious Moments doll collection.  The doll above is titled, "Honk if You Love Jesus" I gave it to Mom for Mother's Day in 1988.

I love flowers and I especially enjoy growing them in my own yard!

I also enjoy all sorts of crafts.

I LOVE to get my nails done!

My most time consuming hobby is taking care of my wonderful husband. He isn't helpless, but he does a great imitation of a helpless person :)
